Senior Associate

Role Overview: Senior Associate
Riptide Partners is seeking an Associate to support consulting engagements across industries. We have offices located on both coasts and offer flexibility to work remotely. This role will be responsible for the preparation of PowerPoint decks, data and business analysis, development of insights, and building key recommendations to drive a client’s business. The Associate will manage client projects often acting as the internal PMO. The Associate will have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members and leadership. This role will be a part of nimble teams focused on delivering on defined benefits to our clients and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. The Associate will be highly strategic and analytical, with the ability to turn insights into action, in order to maximize results for clients.
The Associate will provide leadership, vision, and advisement for client’s key strategic issues such as customer experience improvements, operational excellence, organizational design, change acceleration, profitability improvement, enhanced marketing / communication targeting, competitive advantage, go to market strategy, and enhanced customer service, leveraging both internal and external insights. This Associate will have the ability to support the development of C-Suite and executive level presentations.
The Associate will be highly visible members of the firm and we are looking for top-tier talent that is looking for high-exposure roles working to drive value for the leading brands around the world.
Qualifications
Management Skills
- A minimum of 3-5 years applicable experience
- 3-5 years of experience within Business Strategy / Customer Experience role or Top-Tier Consulting (i.e. McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Accenture, Deloitte, PwC)
- 3-5+ years of experience developing business strategy and supporting the execution and delivery of that strategy, change, or transformation; leading initiatives related to strategic direction; and leading initiatives related to delivering operational improvements. This may include consulting engagements.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on project/program management experience in Fortune 500 environments, dealing with multiple stakeholders across the business to improve business processes and to support critical business strategies. This may include consulting engagements.
- 3-5+ years of facilitation/leadership experience in which several of the following abilities have been demonstrated: building executive-level customer relationships and responding to strategic business needs; strategic thinking, leadership and relationship management; managing resources to meet goals across multiple projects/programs; leading multidisciplinary, high-performance teams; and developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
- Exceptional management ability that can develop and energize a multi-disciplined organization, which includes Senior Associates, Associates, business analysts and data analysts.
- Demonstrated organizational management skills in a highly complex, fast growing environment including personnel management (hiring, recruiting, staffing, mentoring, coaching and reviewing), budget management and business planning.
Technical/Functional Competencies
- Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of industry business practices and strategic direction.
- Undertaking research into the industry sector, markets and current trends.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with peers, sponsors, staff, senior management, vendors, and contractors.
- An ability to present and discuss technical, functional and management information in a clear and concise way that explains complex topics, is persuasive and promotes consensus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management and customer.
- Highly flexible, creative and inquisitive.
- Experience interfacing with senior/executive leaders.
- Experience managing large scale projects leveraging PM discipline and project management tools.

- Experience in managing cross functional organizations, with history of value delivered that enhances the customer experience and delivers profitable growth.
- Experience or Certifications in Customer Experience, Six Sigma, Process Engineering and Project Management
- Progressively more responsible roles with proven ability to manage diverse teams.
- Highly developed analytical skills and proven ability to conduct root cause analysis, and to instill same in others.
- Bachelor’s degree required in a field with substantial base of analytical curriculum. MBA preferred.
